We are being asked often why we do not allow copying of reservations.
In a modern property, rates change daily, if not multiple times a day.
When you copy a reservation, you automatically copy an old reservation with a rate that was set at an earlier time, and you are possibly no longer able to honor that rate due to increased demand. Therefore we feel that copying a booking is not the correct way to make a booking, and the best way to make a new booking is by going through the New Reservation Screen including the rate query, to ensure that you are offering a rate that is in line with today’s revenue strategy of the hotel.
